Georgetown keeps me busy at both ends of town. Out in Sun City, I do a lot of aging-in-place work: grab bars, tub-to-shower conversions, ramps and the kind of careful upkeep that lets folks stay in the home they love. Closer to the historic square, it's older homes that reward a patient, respectful hand.
Older houses hide surprises behind the walls. I've been doing this long enough to expect them and quote them honestly.
The two ends of Georgetown ask for different things, and I like that about the town. Sun City work is mostly about making a house keep working for the person already in it, done quietly and cleanly with the dust kept down. Nearer the square the houses are older and the jobs are repairs: trim that has moved, tile that has cracked along a joint, and paint that has not matched since the last patch.

Do you do grab bars and accessibility work in Sun City?
Regularly. Grab bars fixed into real framing rather than drywall anchors, tub-to-shower conversions, thresholds and ramps. It is careful work and it is worth doing properly.
My house is older. Will you find surprises behind the wall?
Sometimes, and around the historic square especially. I have been doing this long enough to expect it and to quote it honestly. If I open something up and find more, you get a call before I carry on, not a bigger invoice at the end.
