Jonestown is a straight run down 1431 for me and an easy morning. The housing is a real mix: older lake places built in stages over decades, and newer building out toward Sandy Creek.
Older lake houses ask for a particular kind of work. Additions that were framed by different hands at different times, decks and stairs that have taken thirty years of sun, exterior timber that needs cutting out and replacing rather than filling, and interiors where nothing is quite square. That does not bother me. It just needs somebody who measures rather than assumes.
The other thing about the lake side is the weather it puts on a house. Decks, stairs and railings down here take sun off the water as well as out of the sky, and timber that looks fine from the kitchen window can be soft at the fixings. It is worth catching before a board goes rather than after, and it is the sort of thing I will tell you honestly when I am out there for something else.

Do you come out to Jonestown for small jobs?
Yes, and it is an easy trip down 1431. If it is genuinely one small job, tell me what else is on your list. Grouping two or three into one visit makes far better use of the drive for both of us.
Can you work on an older lake house that isn't square?
That is most of what Jonestown is. Older places get added to over the years and nothing lines up with anything. I scribe and cut to what is actually there rather than to what the tape says it should be.
