Gutter Cleaning

Clear gutters before the next Hill Country downpour.

Full hand-cleaning of gutters and downspouts, flush-testing, minor re-securing and re-sloping, plus guards. Water goes to the ground, not your foundation.

Gutter Cleaning in Leander, TX

Live oaks are beautiful and they will absolutely fill your gutters. When gutters clog, water backs up under the shingles and runs down your foundation. Those are two of the most expensive problems a Central Texas home can have. I hand-clean the gutters and downspouts, bag the debris, flush-test every run, and re-secure or re-slope anything that's pulling loose.

Two-story, tricky rooflines, no problem. I bring the right ladders and do it safely.

What that includes

  • Hand-cleaning of gutters and downspouts
  • Debris bagged and hauled away
  • Flush test of every run and downspout
  • Re-securing loose gutter and fasteners
  • Minor re-sloping for proper drainage
  • Gutter guard supply and install (optional)

How I go about it

  1. Clear the runs

Out by hand rather than flushed down the downspout, which is how a clear gutter becomes a blocked drain.

  2. Clear the downspouts

Checked and flushed so water actually leaves, and the outlet extended clear of the slab if it is discharging straight beside the house.

  3. Check the hangers and joints

Sagging runs hold standing water and get heavier. Separated joints drip on the same spot until something rots.

  4. Look at the fascia and soffit

The timber behind the gutter is where a neglected gutter does its real damage, and it is worth catching early.

  5. Tell you what I saw

Photos of anything that needs attention, and a straight answer on whether guards would help you or just cost you.

Written quotescope and price, before anything starts

I look at the job, then put the scope and the price in writing before anything starts. What is written down is what I will do and what it will cost, so there is no conversation at the end about what was and was not included. If I find something unexpected behind the wall you hear about it before I carry on, not after.

Common questions

About gutter cleaning

How often should I have my gutters cleaned?

In live-oak country, twice a year (late spring after the leaf drop and late fall) keeps you out of trouble. If you're surrounded by big trees, I'll be honest about whether guards are worth it for you.

Do you fix gutters, not just clean them?

Yes. Re-securing loose sections, replacing broken hangers, re-sloping a run that's pooling, and reattaching downspouts are all part of the visit.
